Molly MacPherson's Scottish Pub and Grill

17 Hundred 90 Restaurant and Lounge

Candles flicker on the tables, flames dance in the two great stone fireplaces and your every wish is attended to with old world grace and service. The inn is in the basement of the city's oldest hotel at 307 E. President St. The dining room will remind you of the old trading warehouses with brick walls and fireplaces in their original condition. The floors are stone and in the ceiling are wooden beams that add to the quaintness of the dining room. On the walls are original prints and paintings of old Savannah from the 1800s.17 Hundred 90 Restaurant offers a combination of Southern American and Continental dishes with specialties of fresh local seafood, veal, lamb, and steaks. At 17 Hundred 90, you're in for a night of dining, which is different than a night of simply eating.

Bernie's River Street Restaurant and Bar

Bernie's is located in the historic district, with a view of the Savannah River that has the feel of an old portside pub. Bernie's offers a variety of sandwiches, soups and appetizers, as well as an oyster bar and a full selection of fresh seafood. Boar's Head Grill and Tavern

The Boar's Head claims to be the oldest restaurant on River Street, and is located in a building that was once a cotton warehouse. Exposed brick walls decorated with a collection of gold plates and hunting trophies create a cozy atmosphere. From a seat at the bar, or on the small patio, patrons can look out over River Street and the Savannah River. Kitchen specialties include crab cakes and she-crab soup, and the bar recommends Bumbo Punch, a special rum punch.

Casbah Moroccan Restaurant

Sixpence Pub

Prominently featured in the movie Something to Talk About, The Six Pence is a nice little English pub. Family crests line the walls, the stamped-tin ceiling is the real deal.
